If there’s one thing that I know of my esteemed co-hosts this week, it’s that they love Godzilla. Each has their reasons, however a lot of it seems to stem from an early introduction.
When Vince and Ali moved in together, I asked my wife to make this as a house-warming gift.
When Godzilla: King of the Monsters released, Ali asked if we could cover it on Popcorn Ronin, and despite my personal thoughts on the Godzilla franchise, well, it’s very hard to say no to her enthusiasm.
As a means of keeping it interesting, Vince suggested I also watch Shin Godzilla, so that we may give our thoughts on an east versus west approach to the kaijou. Whereas one is far more concerned with the spectacle, the other cares far more about the message… which resulted in a very interesting conversation between the three of us.
