There have been few film announcements that have excited me as much as that of Batman Ninja. To be honest, the poster alone had everything I needed to know I’d be buying this film on blu-ray as soon as it released. Spoiler alert: I did.
It wasn’t just that the film combines Batman and anime, but more so that Warner Bros gave the Japanese team the creative freedom to make an authentic anime starring everyone’s favourite vigilante (that’s right, Marty, I said it. Everyone’s favourite!).
I knew after watching the film that it is perfectly suited to an audio commentary track, and as both Vince and I love to record those, queue up the film and get ready for some fun.
As with our audio commentary on Logan, you can listen while watching the film or not. It’s entirely up to you. We made certain to try to make it entertaining either way. However, if you are not watching the film while listening, please understand there are a few pauses throughout that can not be edited out (due to the us having to stay in time with what’s happening on the screen). And as this film is packed full of jaw-dropping action, there were a few spots were we couldn’t do anything but stare in wonder for a few seconds till the words found us.
