100 years ago, titans suddenly appeared on Earth. Soon, human civilization veered on collapse due to the titans. Humans then built a giant wall to defend themselves. Within the giant walls, humans lived in peace, but, 100 years later, the giant wall is broken.
If you ask most fans of anime which was the series of the last couple years which had the largest impact on them as viewers, I believe the overwhelming reply would be Attack on Titan. The series moved us like so few ever have.
We’ve seen the long running manga, as well as several games (with more on the way); however now we’re going to get a full-length, live-action movie.
The only downside is that it is likely going to be sub-titled, as this trailer was. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some illiterate hack who hates having to “read” movies. It’s just that some movies have so much going on, that you really don’t want to take your eyes off of the action to read everyone’s lines. Even for just the few minutes it took for me to watch this trailer, I missed some lines as I couldn’t take my eyes off of the action.
That said, while I hope we get a good quality dub, I’m still absolutely thrilled and cannot wait to see this movie.
